  • Optical Clearance Outlet provides eyeglasses covered by the Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) program. If you are eligible for NIHB, you can access a range of quality frames and lenses as part of your vision care benefits. Our experienced team will assist you in selecting the right eyewear that meets both your style preferences and optical needs while ensuring a smooth claim process.

    Visit us with a copy of your optical prescription and your status card to take advantage of your NIHB benefits today.

  • The Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP) provides limited, temporary coverage of health-care benefits, including eye care, for eligible refugees and protected persons in Canada. Under the IFHP, eligible individuals may receive coverage for eye exams and prescription eyewear, such as glasses, to address vision needs.

    To use IFHP coverage for glasses, bring your valid IFHP identification (brown paper), optical prescription, and any referral documentation to one of our locations. Our knowledgeable team will help guide you through the process, ensuring you receive the necessary eye care with minimal wait times.

At Optical Clearance Outlet, we are proud of our partnership with the Lions Clubs of Canada to support their mission of providing eyeglasses to those in need. Since 1994, we have been dedicated to offering quality eyewear and eye care in Hamilton, and now, through this collaboration, we extend our commitment to community service by facilitating eyeglass donations.

Our two convenient locations serve as drop-off points where community members can donate gently used eyeglasses. These donations are then distributed by Lions Clubs of Canada to individuals who require vision correction but may lack access to affordable eyewear. This partnership helps improve quality of life by restoring sight and enhancing independence for countless people in need.
